The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
We understand that Fire Brigades are beginning to excercise their duties under this Order (click here). The Order rationalises the old situation where HSE were enforcers at HSE sites, and makes the Fire Brigade the enforcing authority nationally. However, their remit is solely “fire” based and they should not impinge on current enforcement duties carried out by HSE.
